Been hearing many complaints about how boring bainian is. I must say that i think i've always experience better chinese new years especially since my family does not stick to the tradition of bainian very strictly. Spending chinese new years in malaysia are never boring. :D

This year, we've decided to spend 3 days 2 nights over at our gramps' house in malaysia instead of just going for the dinner. I think the trip back was more for shopping than bainian. Spent our days outside the house, doing shopping at nearby shopping centres and the hair salon where some of them did their hair. I think we've combed through nearly every shop in the shopping centres and discover any potential addition to our collection of clothes at home.:P

Spending new years in malaysia is especially different from spending them in singapore since we can play fireworks and all kinds of weird things there, although illegally. I guess that's where the fun comes, the thrill of getting away from the cops.lol. Yup so we have the bumblebee types, frog types, spinning types, shooting and the list goes on. And when the clock strikes 12, the rich neighbouring families will start setting off fireworks, like the ones we see on national day. Literally just burning money actually, since those fireworks cost a bomb. We were surrounded by fireworks last night, feels like you are in the middle of a war with falling shells.

Another thing would be the food! haha seriously the food rocks, regardless home or outside. But the problem is i'll get stuffed by my grandma. Turned out that i was too full and puked in the middle of the night. Now i can brag that i've tried eating so much that i vomit=))

Despite being someone with little fancy for kids, i've spot a few children in malaysia that are uber cute. One's my distant relative and he has such great eyes, eyebrows and dimples! And he's so shy, unlike some disgusting ones. I foresee he'll grow up to be a handsome kid. HAHA. Too bad he's only Pri 1.:(( And there was another one at the hair salon. Nice hair and quite naughty, but still very cute.>.<

I wonder if anyone enjoyed their cny as much as i did but oh well...Happy Chinese New Year!=D
